In Transit is a new and exciting project by communications students enrolled in the Magazine and Digital Publishing study unit at the University of Malta. Aiming to share the importance of connection, this project explores diversity within relationships. It is built on values of authenticity and the raw beauty of storytelling and strives to offer readers a form of escapism. Hopefully, the stories – which range from friendships and family relationships to hobbies and passions – will inspire an appreciation for meaningful connection.
If this year has taught us anything, it’s that we should not take company for granted. As much as we all cannot wait for society to go back to a somewhat familiar reality, we must focus on waiting things out, and make sure to do our part in helping establish a sense of connection through socially responsible means.
In Transit could not have chosen a better time than now to celebrate humanity and connectedness. In the midst of a global pandemic, the various faces behind the publication, which include its editors, photographers, videographers, marketers, and social media communicators, hope that their collective effort shines an inspiring and uplifting light.
